Gaia M. Bicudo's (owner) Bio:
Having always been interested in the human body and the way
it works, I recognize the importance of balancing the body,
mind and spirit, not only through exercise, diet, touch but
also through sound.
I attended the New Mexico
Academy of Healing Arts and attained my diploma as a Swedish
Massage Therapist.
Through the course of my studies
I gained experience in chair massage, aromatherapy,
lymphatic drainage, medical massage, sport massage,
polarity, cranial work, reflexology and hydrotherapy.
During the years of my practice as a massage therapist I had a
deep sense of knowing that there was more to helping the
body heal than just physical touch.
I began the journey of working
with natures gifts. I studied with the founder of La Stone
Therapy, Mary Nelson and the founder of Crystal Light
Therapy, Patrica Edge Huff. I then moved right along into
Integrated Energy Therapy.
The big AH HA came with the
study of sound. I had taken a course in Bio-Sonic
Repattering, which is the study of the use of tuning forks
on and around the body, into the evolution of Quartz Crystal
Singing Bowls then into voice. Sound has brought me full
circle and was largely a part of what I was searching for.
Sound is now incorporated into every treatment.
Any number of these practices can be combined with Swedish
massage. I find this gives your body the opportunity to
release right down to the cellular level.
